Other mobile apps Measure recommends to help you get the most out of your drone flights
All of the mobile apps listed here are free to download and available for both iOS and Android devices.
DJI GO 4
Because firmware updates for DJI aircraft can only be performed using DJI GO 4 or DJI Pilot (below), we recommend downloading the app(s) ahead of time for smooth updating. DJI Go 4 is used to operate the DJI Spark, Mavic series, Phantom series, and Inspire series aircraft.
Note: In order to use the MGC Mobile App DJI GO 4 cannot be running on the same device. Please make sure to close DJI GO 4 before commencing flight operations using the MGC Mobile App
DJI Pilot
The stock flight application for industrial DJI drones. Used to operate the DJI Matrice 100, 200, 210, and 600 series aircraft. Firmware updates for DJI aircraft can only be performed using DJI Pilot or DJI GO 4 (above).
Note: In order to use the MGC Mobile App DJI Pilot cannot be running on the same device. Please make sure to close DJI Pilot before commencing flight operations using the MGC Mobile App.
Note: Flight logs from DJI Pilot cannot currently directly sync to Ground Control via logsync. Only flight logs from DJI Go can currently sync via logsync to Ground Control.
OpenSky
Measure has partnered with OpenSky to offer users real-time airspace checking features in the MGC Mobile App. Through an integration with OpenSky, the MGC Mobile App provides key OpenSky features directly in-app, including airspace maps, advisories and warnings, and weather information.
Measure Ground Control relies on OpenSky to request LAANC authorizations. The MGC Mobile App cannot independently request LAANC authorizations unless the OpenSky app is also installed on that device.
We recommend downloading OpenSky and creating an account ahead of time to prevent delays when you're on the job.
